Gracie Allen’s Classic Recipe for Roast Beef

1 large roast of beef
1 small roast of beef

Set oven at 325 degrees. Take the two roasts and put them in the oven. When the little one burns, the big one is done.

A famous Washington newspaperman was dining at Galatoire’s, in the old French quarter of New Orleans, and raved over the trout Marguery. He summoned the proprietor and said, “I’d like to have the recipe for this dish.”

The proprietor smiled and answered suavely, “I’m sorry, sir, but we have the same policy here as you journalists. We never reveal our sauce.”
